A Oral History Video Series about NCCU Law

The aim of the Legal Legends Oral History Video Project is to preserve the history and institutional knowledge of the Law School through a series of video and audio recordings featuring current and retired law faculty.
The oral history video pilot project began in April 2022, with interviews of the law faculty conducted by the marketing department. The digital collection is comprised of audio and video recordings containing extensive interviews with NCCU Law’s esteemed faculty and alumni. Faculty discussed how NCCU Law School has impacted their professional development and legal careers. They discussed the role of NCCU Law School and what makes it unique and relevant today. Each concluded the conversation by offering words of advice to aspiring law students.
Interviewees include: Professor Charles Smith (retired), Professor Phyliss Craig-Taylor, Professor Fred Williams (retired), Professor Irving Joyner, Professor Lydia Lavelle, Professor David Green, Professor Cheryl Amana (retired) and Associate Dean April Dawson.
