Biography
David Williams is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. He came to North Carolina to attend Elizabeth City State University and received a bachelor’s degree in music. While at ECSU, David played in the marching, concert, jazz, and pep bands. He also pledged Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, INC. After graduation, David taught music in middle and high school between North Carolina and Virginia for ten years. David came to higher education as an admissions counselor. David worked for seven years in undergrad admissions with first-time first-year students and older adults looking to get their bachelor’s degrees. He later discovered and join career services. Currently, he is getting his Master of Public Administration at North Carolina Central University. He hopes to continue to impact student learning and grow as they move from higher education into the working world.
