NCCU School of Law Fallen Eagle ’79

Condolences to the family of NCCU School of Law Fallen Eagle Attorney Lowell L. Siler ‘79. Siler was Durham’s first African-American county attorney. He began serving as deputy county attorney in 1987, and became county attorney in 2009.

During his trailblazing career, he advised county commissioners, county managers, and department heads on legal matters relating to the operation of the county government.
