As part of the NCCU School of Law 85th Anniversary celebration, we are honored to announce the Charles Hamilton Houston Lecture Series, featuring the distinguished Professor Irving L. Joyner. This event promises to be a captivating exploration of legal scholarship and societal impact, paying homage to the visionary legacy of Charles Hamilton Houston himself.

Houston served as the first general counsel for the NAACP, and he was a pioneering legal strategist who played a crucial role in dismantling racial segregation in the United States. He believed in using the law as a tool for social change and dedicated his career to challenging racial discrimination through litigation.
