Posted on Monday, September 20, 2010

For the second consecutive year the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Veterans Law Program will be sending two very strong teams to participate in the Veterans Law Appellate Advocacy Competition sponsored by the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Court’s Bar Association.

In last year’s inaugural competition, NCCU soundly defeated Boston University School of Law, Georgetown University School of Law, and American University School of Law.

The participants on the two teams representing NCCU School of Law this year will be Rachel L. Espey, Ashley Bancroft, Christin Cotton, and Julian Hall. Both teams will be coached by Veterans Law Program Director Craig M. Kabatchnick, Esq., a former Senior Appellate Attorney and Associate Special Assistant for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

The competition will be held October 16 – 17, 2010 at the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington, D.C.

Please join us in wishing our teams the best of luck!
