NCCU School of Law annually participates in interview programs.
- Southeast Minority Job Fair (Summer): The Southeastern Minority Job Fair (SEMJF) provides legal employers throughout the United States an opportunity to interview second and third year law students, as well as recent graduates, from 50+ ABA-approved law schools located in the following 12 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. In past years, approximately 140 employers have interviewed over 900 students during the two day job fair.
- North Carolina Law School Consortium Interview Program (Spring): This program provides law students with the opportunity to interview for summer internships with firms and government and public service organizations located in North Carolina. This program is divided by region: the Eastern North Carolina Legal Interview Program takes place in Raleigh and the Western North Carolina Legal Interview Program takes place in Charlotte.
- North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession 1L Summer Associates Program (Spring): This program seeks to enhance the opportunities for minorities to obtain summer positions with major law firms and corporate legal departments in the state. The participating employers each commit to offer an internship to a student from one of the state’s seven law schools.
