It is imperative for law students to gain meaningful hands-on legal experience through internships and externships, in addition to completing required coursework, before graduating and securing their first permanent position. These experiences will help students figure out the practice areas that interest them, develop professional connections in the field, and build resumes that will be attractive to future employers. Our office is here to provide support for students in their search for internships, externships, and permanent employment. Please see below for some of the resources and opportunities available to students.
The Office for Career Services uses Symplicity, a career services management tool, to manage the resources and recruitment for students, alumni and employers. Symplicity is a password protected tool for our students, alumni and employers.
Beginning with the Class of 2016, students must attend a mandatory Office for Career Services Orientation Program in order to gain access to Symplicity. Alumni are except from this requirement. If you have questions about this requirement, please contact Dean Michelle Cofield at email@example.com.
