NCCU School of Law hosted
National ABA Competition
The North Carolina Central University School of Law had the honor of hosting the American Bar Association (ABA) Law Student Division National Client Counseling Competition on March 13 and 14, 2009. The competition simulates a law office consultation in which law students, acting as attorneys, are presented with a client matter. They conduct an interview with a person playing the role of the client and then explain how they would proceed further in the hypothetical situation. Eighty local attorneys, clinicians, and students volunteered as judges and clients for the competition. NCCU hosted 15 teams from across the US and Canada in this competition.
