The Virtual Justice Project Program Host A Town Hall Meeting

Hundreds of people attended a town hall at NCCU School of Law on Wednesday, September 28th.  The event brought together representatives from the police, students and community to discuss ways to strengthen relationships between them.  Members of the audience shared their experiences with the police, and offered suggestions on how the police can improve their image in the community.   Reidsville Chief of Police, Robert Hassell was instrumental in bringing everyone together.  Other Chiefs in attendance included University Chief Odetta Johnson and Durham Police Chief, Cerelyn Davis.  Everyone agreed that the event was a good start to what will be an ongoing conversation.
