This past month Lexis changed its two ID sign-in format. Now only a Lexis Advance ID is needed to sign in to both Lexis Advance and Lexis.com. Please note, however, that Lexis has deactivated all Lexis.com IDs. This means the only way to sign into Lexis is with a Lexis Advance ID.
Lexis Advance features one-box searching and has access to case law, statutes, regulations from all 50 states and federal jurisdictions. You will also find a comprehensive library of secondary sources such as legal encyclopedias, practice aids, and legal treatises. Access to Lexis.com is also available through Lexis Advance.
If you do not have a Lexis Advance ID, please contact NCCU Law School’s Lexis representative Marva Woods for assistance and to sign up. If you would like to learn more about Lexis Advance, the Law Library has an Online Tutorial LibGuide that includes some Lexis Advance online tutorials. You can also learn more about Lexis Advance on the LexisNexis Law Schools YouTube Channel.
For more information about the new Lexis single ID sign, contact a reference librarian.
