Reginald Mombrun -
Associate Professor of Law
Professor Mombrun joined the school of law in the fall of 2008. Previously Prof. Mombrun taught at the Florida A&M College of Law from the fall of 2004 to the summer of 2008. Prior to teaching, Prof. Mombrun spent 14 years in the national office of the IRS specializing in corporate mergers and acquisitions. Prof. Mombrun served as an Assistant Branch Chief his last two years at the IRS. Prof. Mombrun has been responsible for a number of regulations, revenue rulings, revenue procedures and countless private letter rulings in the corporate tax area. In sum, as Prof. Mombrun likes to tell his students, he is responsible for some of the complexities of corporate tax law.
Prof. Mombrun received a business degree from Boston University, a J.D. (Cum Laude) from NCCU School of Law and a master of laws (LL.M) from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the ABA and the NBA. Prof. Mombrun has taught: Contracts, Fundamentals of Income Taxation, Corporate Taxation, Sales, Secured Transactions and Selected Issues in Family Law. Prof. Mombrun has been approved as a Fulbright Senior Specialist (he is awaiting an assignment).
