Biography

Courtney Bryant is the legal writing specialist in the Legal Writing Center at North Carolina Central University School of Law. Bryant earned a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University in 2015. She earned her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law (NCCU) in 2010 and a B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina State University. Bryant is from Allendale County, South Carolina.

After graduating from NCCU,  Bryant worked in a general practice where she split her time between criminal defense and personal injury. She also practiced in other areas of the law such as: family law, contract disputes, workers ‘compensation and administrative hearings. Bryant has previously been a member of the adjunct faculty at North Carolina Central University School of Law and Campbell University School of Law. Her professional memberships include the N.C. State Bar, Tenth Judicial District Bar Association and the Legal Writing Institute.

Bryant is married and has two sons. She is an avid football fan and in her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
