NCCU Law School will host its annual weeklong Legal Eagle Law Camp for middle and high school students June 29-July 3, 2009 in the Turner Law Building on the NCCU campus.
The Camp is designed to expose rising 7th to 10th grade students to the field of law. Participants get an inside look at the legal system and the courts, visit the Durham courthouse, learn about legal research using the NCCU law library, take part in a mock trial and find out what it’s like to prepare for law school. Interactive sessions with current NCCU law students and professors and presentations by local attorneys and judges are a feature of the camp.
The Law Camp is co-sponsored by Durham Public Schools Community Education Program. The camp will run 9:00 am-4:00 pm daily (9:00 am -1:00 pm on Friday July 3d). Registration is $110 per child and scholarships are available. The camp is limited to the first 40 participants to register.
