Acceptance Process

The evaluation of applicant files is an involved and lengthy process. Final decisions generally take approximately four to six weeks after a file is completed. However, midrange applicant decisions may take longer. Applicants who apply late in the admissions cycle, waitlisted applicants, transfer and visiting student applicants may not receive a final decision until July. Performance Based Admissions Program (PBAP) participants will receive their decisions by mid-April. Telephone inquiries, emails and letters requesting a decision will not accelerate this process.

Without written authorization from the applicant, the Office of Admissions will not discuss an applicant’s status with anyone other than the applicant. All admissions decisions are communicated by letter from the Assistant Dean of Admissions. No admissions decision will be communicated by telephone or email.

The processing and evaluating of completed applicant files begins after October 1st. Only completed files are reviewed for a decision. Click here for the requirements of a completed applicant file.
