The Summer Program in Maritime Law is presented by the North Carolina Central University School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. This program will offer students a unique opportunity to complete coursework in admiralty law and coastal policy from practitioners and experts in both fields all while living at the beach. The program’s coursework will also allow students the opportunity to gain insight and expertise in an exciting area of law often overlooked even in coastal states where it plays a daily role in the legal environment.
UNC-Wilmington is six miles from beautiful Wrightsville Beach and provides easy access to the rest of historic Wilmington.
Through the program students can:
- Earn six hours of American Bar Association approved credit.
- Earn two hours of accredited graduate school level credit.
- Receive practical and theoretical training in maritime law and coastal management policy.
- Interact with port officials and practicing maritime attorneys.
