DESCRIPTION:<p>North Carolina Central University School of Law will host a 
 panel discussion entitled “Troy Davis: One Year Later\,” on Wednesday\, Se
 ptember 12\, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be held in the G
 reat Hall of the Turner Law Building on NCCU&#8217\;s campus. The event is
  sponsored by the law school&#8217\;s student pro-bono “Death Penalty Proj
 ect.”</p>\n<p><a title='Troy Davis Case' href='http://www.amnestyusa.org/o
 ur-work/cases/usa-troy-davis' target='_blank'>Troy Davis</a> was executed 
 by the state of Georgia on September 21\, 2011\, despite serious doubts ab
 out his guilt. His execution garnered national media attention. The event 
 will focus on the developments in the capital punishment system since Mr. 
 Davis&#8217\; controversial execution.</p>\n<p>The keynote speaker is Mr. 
 Davis&#8217\; sister\, Kimberly Davis. Ms. Davis will share her story\, an
 d a panel discussion will follow featuring: Ken Rose\, senior staff attorn
 ey at the <a title='Center for Death Penalty Litigation' href='http://www.
 cdpl.org/Staff.html' target='_blank'>Center for Death Penalty Litigation</
 a> in Durham\, N.C.\; Denny LeBoeuf\, director of the <a title='ACLU Capit
 al Punishment Project' href='http://www.aclu.org/blog/author/denny-leboeuf
 ' target='_blank'>American Civil Liberties Union&#8217\;s Capital Punishme
 nt Project</a> in Durham\, N.C.\; Kathleen Mullin\, executive director of 
 the <a title='Fair Trial Initiative' href='http://www.fairtrial.org/' targ
 et='_blank'>Fair Trial Initiative</a> in Durham\, N.C.\; and Darryl Hunt\,
  a North Carolina activist who spent 18+ years in prison for a murder he d
 id not commit. The panel discussion will be moderated by Ebony Brickhouse 
 of <a title='Amnesty International' href='http://www.amnestyusa.org/our-wo
 rk/issues/death-penalty' target='_blank'>Amnesty International</a>.</p>\n<
 p>The event will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m. where hors d&#8217\;o
 euvres will be served. Ms. Davis&#8217\; presentation and the panel discus
 sion will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last until 7:30 &#8211\; 8 p.m.</p>\n<p>S
 eating will be available for the first 100 attendees in the Great Hall. Ov
 erflow seating will be available in one of the law school&#8217\;s classro
